Host Terms & Conditions

These Host Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to anyone who creates a Host account on the Social Stays platform and lists one or more accommodations. By creating an account and/or adding a listing, you agree to these Terms.
1. Definitions
- Platform: the website operated by Social Stays.
- Host: a registered user who lists one or more accommodations on the Platform.
- Accommodation: a holiday home, apartment, or other lodging listed by a Host.
- Content: all information, text, images, and media uploaded by the Host.
2. Host Account
By creating an account, the Host confirms that:
- all provided information is accurate, complete, and kept up to date;
- the Host is legally authorized to list the Accommodation;
- the Host is at least 18 years old.
The Host is responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for all activities performed through the Host account.
3. Listing Accommodations
Hosts may list accommodations by providing truthful and complete information, including:
- an accurate description of the Accommodation and its facilities;
- correct location, contact details, and (where applicable) availability information;
- a minimum of three (3) photographs of the Accommodation.
The Host is solely responsible for the accuracy of all listing information. Social Stays may remove or modify listings that are misleading, incomplete, or violate these Terms.
4. Images and Intellectual Property
By uploading Content, the Host confirms that:
- they own the Content or have explicit permission from the rights holder to use and publish it;
- the Content does not infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other intellectual property rights of third parties.
The Host grants Social Stays a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and promote uploaded Content solely for operating and promoting the Platform (including marketing and social media).
The Host remains fully responsible for any claims, damages, or disputes arising from uploaded Content and agrees to indemnify Social Stays against such claims.
4 B. – Adding Content to Accommodation Pages
Social-Stays.com reserves the right to add, display, and manage additional content on accommodation pages published on the platform.
This additional content may include, but is not limited to:
- Advertisements or promotional messages
- Special offers, deals, or featured listings
- Links to related or similar accommodations based on accommodation type, facilities, location, price range, or availability
- Automatically or editorially selected accommodation recommendations
- Links to editorial content published by Social-Stays.com, such as destination guides, articles about regions, cities, or countries, and other informational content
Such content may be displayed alongside, above, below, or within the accommodation page layout and is intended to enhance the user experience, provide relevant information, and support the functionality and monetization of the platform.
By listing an accommodation on Social-Stays.com, hosts acknowledge and agree that:
- Social-Stays.com has full editorial and commercial discretion over the placement and type of additional content
- The addition of such content does not affect the ownership of the host’s original listing content
- The presence of advertisements or related accommodations does not imply endorsement, partnership, or exclusivity
Social-Stays.com reserves the right to modify, update, or remove any additional content at any time without prior notice.
5. Communication and Bookings
Social Stays facilitates direct contact between Hosts and potential guests. Social Stays does not act as a booking agent or intermediary and is not a party to any agreement between Host and guest.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Social Stays does not process payments, deposits, cancellations, or refunds. All communication, agreements, and bookings are solely the responsibility of the Host and the guest.
6. Prices & Pricing Adjustments
Social Stays reserves the right to adjust, modify, or update accommodation prices at any time. Prices displayed on the platform may be changed due to, including but not limited to, market conditions, availability, seasonal demand, currency fluctuations, technical corrections, or pricing updates provided by the host.
Hosts are responsible for ensuring that their pricing information remains accurate and up to date. Social Stays cannot be held liable for discrepancies arising from outdated or incorrect pricing provided by the host. By using the platform, hosts acknowledge and accept that prices may be adjusted at any time in accordance with this article.
7. Compliance and Conduct
Hosts agree to:
- comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to renting accommodations;
- treat potential guests fairly and professionally;
- avoid publishing false, misleading, or discriminatory content.
Social Stays may suspend or terminate a Host account, or remove listings, if these Terms are violated.
8. Liability
Social Stays is not liable for:
- the accuracy of Host-provided Content;
- disputes between Hosts and guests;
- damages, losses, or claims arising from stays, cancellations, or agreements.
Hosts agree to indemnify and hold Social Stays harmless against claims resulting from their listings, Content, or conduct.
9. Termination
Hosts may remove listings or close their account at any time. Social Stays may remove Content or terminate accounts without prior notice if these Terms are violated.
10. Changes to the Terms
Social Stays may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Social Stays operates, unless stated otherwise.
